Welcome!

Welcome to the 2012 Nicaragua Mission trip blog.  As is our tradition, this blog comes alive for every trip we take to Santa Maria.  We are once again blessed to be able to return to Nicaragua with a team from St. John's.  This year, we have a team of 10 headed down in June.  This year's team included one new member, Orly Alvarez, as well as returning members, Chris Freisheim, Liz Christian, Sue Steege, Mayo Dunn, Butch and Ellen Bodenhimer, Missy Gentles, Cliff Gobin and Mark Rudolph.  Our home coordinators this year are Lisa Gentles and Sandy Buckley.


The trip begins in about 2 weeks now, and the team is in the process of finalizing last minute details on the Vacation Bible School plans and the Men's and Women's Bible study plans.  In addition, the team is preparing spiritually under our theme this year, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,  which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
